Hello, There!

I’m Amanda Hardy and I would like to tell you a little bit about myself!

I’ve been a dog owner and involved in all types of small and large animals my entire life. I graduated from West Virginia University where I earned my Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Science. I’m also a licensed Veterinary Technician and in 2018 I became a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner from the University of Tennessee. Prior to opening AugustaK9trails, LLC in 2020 I was with Virginia Veterinary Specialists of Charlottesville, VA as an Anesthesia Technician and Supervisor of their Surgical Department.

As an entrepreneur, I’m excited to be putting my skills to work by helping dogs in the Shenandoah Valley who can benefit from additional exercise and rehabilitation. This naturally would include all pets, young and old that are needing of any additional fitness regimen. But most importantly being able to help rehabilitate your pets who have had an injury or are recently healing from post-operative surgery.

When I’m not working with my furry friends I enjoy spending time outdoors with my husband, our 2 dogs, 3 cats, and plethora of chickens.

All the Best to You!

Sincerely,
Amanda

Meet Rachel!

Hi, I’m Rachel Smitton and I’ve been a dog owner my whole life and have worked with dogs for over 5 years. I love working with all breeds, ages and types of dogs. I have been a veterinary assistant for about 2 years and am excited to help dogs that may benefit from hydrotherapy exercise as a way of life.

In my spare time, I enjoy hiking with my two dogs, my husband, and two wonderful step daughters.
